Light drizzle. Turned to more persistent rain before stopping altogether. Still wet. Suicidal pedestrian seemed quite affronted that anyone else might be using the road they wanted to cross without looking. Other than that a usual Friday ride.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Foggy this morning and I have a set of lights to go through at a place where they have dug up the road, the lights don't register bikes so if no one's about I will nip through as I think it's fairly safe at 4.30 am.I had a van behind me today that I could hear as I approached the lights so I waited till the van set them off
Coming home is a pita as traffic backs up a long way so I'm afraid to say I nip onto the pavement as no ones going to let me in even if I have right of way.

It would be nice if there were no 'morons' around, but humans being the selfish creatures they are, I am positive there will be no reduction in their numbers anytime soon. So, in the meantime, in order for my streets to look reasonably tidy, I continue to pick up rubbish deposited by the cretins, every day.

It certainly would although sadly I share your cynicism. Fair play for rising above the resentment this inevitably generates

it had been borderline all week, but finally had to get the knee warmers out, at least for the morning ride a claimed 7 degree start but a balmy 12/13 by the end, and even though its not like Autumn has crept up on me, I still probably spent way longer hunting for them in the general kit accessory part of the wardrobe, and still ended up with a mismatched pair.

still not that it made much difference to the ride, even if my knees werent feeling the chill air, with the usual bunch of impatient so and so's providing the usual entertainment.

this weekends task will be find some gloves

Got it wrong again, was out doing the garden yesterday noticed a chill in the air woke up this morning expecting a cold start as usual uk weather done a u turn. Had hi-vi on a full gloves light ones than normal lost about a stone in weight on wy in felt like was at gas mark 4 most of the journey in. Nice long tail back as bus put its hazard lights on and decdided to crawl up the road. From what I could see plenty of kindly drivers stoppong to let them know what they thougtht of their driving. Hardly any traffic and another week closer to Chirstmas.

Grey, damp and a bit chilly; best I can say was that the journey was relatively "unchallenging" which was welcome after a weekend of sleep deprivation and questionable choices..

Very mild temperatures here in the Medway. 14° at 7am.
Checked the train app as I always do first thing to make sure train is on time.
Lo and behold, some poor soul decided to jump in front of a train this morning meaning mass disruption to the network.
I didn't even bother going to the train station so working from home today.
Which at least gives my legs a bit of a rest after yesterday's 120 miler

Its usually going home I have a disruption as trains start in Pottyboro. Having said that I bet the driver doesn't show up tomorrow, when they cancel at the Pottyboro end that's always the reason.

Properly dark on today's commute and it probably wasn't helped by the weather or the council switching off the street lights about an hour before it actually gets light.
