A stunning sunrise over the Med today. Lovely blue skies. -0.1° when I left home at 7am
Roads are dry and no wind with traffic behaving nicely makes for a very enjoyable commute.

Well its save to say that was bloody disgusting riding to work this morning. Even with heated gloves my hands still felt like they getting frost bitten. What with the Reynauds that effects me in summer as well this was to much as mentioned above I hope it is 14deg by the weekend.

If not I will have to become a Buddhist and hope to be reincarnated as an unladen African Swallow ^_^

A beautful ride in this morning - bloody cold with frost on the ground but bright and clear.

Having cracked out basically all of the layers I was out the door in good time, taking it steady both on account of the ice and wind chill.

Sausages were good so I regretted buying two instead of three... journey back out was glorious - heading out along the tow path into the sun as it backlit the mist rising off the river; could have got some great shots had I bothered to bring the camera.

Despite the aeasthetics I was glad to arrive at work as by that time I'd lost feeling in my toes and fingers...

Took the shorter route along busy, but gritted roads rather than untreated icy back lanes. I could not be bothered switching wheels to studs just for one ride in the week.

An elderly driver pulled out on me, he hadn't cleared his side window properly, hadn't seen me coming from a long way away in my hi-vis and flashing front light, and then pulled out slowly across my path.

I had anticipated it & slowed down, so no harm done, but bearing in mind this chap is on the roads my daughter and other kids walk to school I have sent the report in.

"An elderly driver.."
Another shot at the 'elderly'? The driver was a driver, so wasn't that the point? :stop:

Also idiots about, a BMW driver at high speed the worst of them, although the squirrel came very close to killing both of us. Maybe it's the warmer temperatures.

A much milder this morning. A balmy 11° at 7am. I'll take that. Mild though the roads were wet from a fair amount of overnight rain.

I was completely humbled on the A21 dash this morning. You lad, phew..he was quick, very quick. Made his speed look easy and without effort. Fair play young lad. Wish I was 20 years younger, give me at least half a chance. 😀

A relaxed commute into the station today with a bit of a tailwind. One mistake on my part. A driver, as a lot of folk are at this time in the morning, was slow off at the Town Bridge lights and when I jinked left I pulled the right multi-release cleat out so had to cycle through an area that's normally packed with traffic a bit more carefully. Today though there was bizarrely no traffic!
