That reminds me I need wipe and oil the chain after yesterday. Usually the last thing I think of doing after getting home in the wet!

Glad I run two sets of lights. Tried to put the front flasher on and it was dead. I don't think I got a low battery warning on my last commute. It usually gives me a warning and disables high beam about 1h before it cuts off. Hopefully the lack of a warning means after 9-10 years its not failing.

At least I had a light on route there was the typical Ninjas, the last one cycling straight into my path.

Got to the Station and just one rear light was still on too but that's typical of Lezyne lights. Even when they show green battery they'll just randomly switch off no warning.

Apart from the typical 🥷, and it being dreich and a headwind all the way there's nothing much to report from the actual ride.

I wish this dreich would turn to dry - just awful damp weather and more rain again this morning!

Drier here this morning in the South East thankfully. Last nights commute home was torrential rain all the way. Not nice at all.

Rainy Commute # 16 for the year
Same period last year, 2 rainy commutes.

WFH today, glad as my head cold is painful. On the drugs now so should feel more human later. Took it easy last night as I'm aching all over - never a good sign when poorly - one that says don't ride. Never ride with flu type symptoms.

That's basically my criteria for calling in sick. If I don't feel fit enough to ride in then I'm ill. Don't' mask it by trying to WFH, you're probably not thinking properly either, just take it as a sick day. If you wouldn't have come into the office before WFH was a thing, don't do it now!

Hard to believe its going to clear overnight and freeze, its still p1shing down. Traffic in the town/city centres at both ends of my train journey was at a standstill.

I charged my front light that wasn't working and after an hour or so it said charged, so I thought it might be OK but it was the same. I'll wait for it to dry a bit and try changing it with the battery pack or wall charger. If its still the same I'll order a new one, for £20 and circa 8-10years it was good and I like the way it mounts. I can quickly mount it anywhere and on any bike.

An 800lumen solid on the right side of my bars doesn't seem to be as visible as a 500lumens flashing judging by the 3 drivers that started to pull out on me in places.

Edit, charging it over night never helped but holding the power button down for 30secs seems to have reset it.

I've noticed this a few times - how come your glasses are in front of your camera? Looks like your bike's drowning!

Wet start but I'd correctly predicted it was only a shower and rode in as normal, rain stopped after a few mins. Just lots of mucky puddles, but could avoid the worst as it's half terms and there's little traffic about.
