Was a bit breezy in Leicester this afternoon, at least I got home before it rained.

Looks like it was biblical at one point during the Nottingham Forrest game, its just been heavy rain either side of it. I think the storm is hitting here now!

Typical I get up a bit early and the trains are a bit messed up after last night's storm. I maybe could have got on the slow train which I usually get but it was running late and has only arrived. I got on the semi express train which although it leaves 10minutes later is stored at Pottyboro and was already waiting on the platform and gives me time to chill.

I'd got up earlier because I was on the gravel bike and wanted to figure out if the Varia worked upside-down; it doesn't! I had to switch it off as it was beeping constantly and even switched off it was still beeping occasionally!

Yesterday night was grim and im glad i wimped out as i left for home around 12. 15 am it was terrible and i would have been soaked through within a few minutes even with my coat and leggings .

Why would you want to mount the Varia upside down?
Does it clash with the mudguard mount otherwise?

Told you it was windy last night, up the road a metal shed that was bolted into concrete was ripped up and deposited in the road !!

A nice, wind assisted 27 mile ride home this afternoon. Makes a really nice change to be blown along. A tad chilly though.

Poor saps in their metal boxes at the Dartfrod crossing approach.

Why would you want to mount the Varia upside down?
Does it clash with the mudguard mount otherwise?

Didn't work but I wanted to for the reason you said. Around the right way it clashes with the mudguard and there's no room for it as a result.

Ultra quiet on my commute but I done 75% of it off road. The bit outside the which is usually manic was unbelievably quiet too. I was tempted to have my bimbling in the light but I decided to keep it for the far end and the paths/gravel I knew.
