Every now and then in my part of London, the police do a blitz, stop and seize. But it is rare and there are far too many illegals for the police manpower that they have at their disposal.

I forgot to post my commute last night as I was quickly in the door got changed and went out again for a group ride. There isn't really much to report, except the train was busy with kids and push chairs as it usually is during half-terms and the only thing moving at congestion hot spots on the road was a bike. Junctions were clogged but the roads in between were nice and quiet.

A few stops up the line when the prams stood up to get off blocking the door so I managed to nip in before others got on to fill the gap.

The forthcoming fuel shortages will clear the roads a bit for us. Expect though to have all manner of numpties riding into work.

I just hope there is enough for me to go on holiday to the South Coast at the end of the month. Not using much otherwise.

Prompt response from the school. Obviously pre prepared for complaints about parking as it went through all the options they had done over the last five years but my complaint would be passed with others to the council. They are obviously concerned with the illegal parking and danger this causes.

So it's nothing to do with illegal bikes rather then the police yet again being heavy handed with another member of the public
