Why not the SPD-SL's? I have looked on the net today and I don't see much benefit in going with them so for now will probably swap my pedals over and get some new SPDs. They ones you mentioned are single sided only whereas the ones I have you can click in either side, but are heavier!

Get SPD-SL if you want too but theres no benefit to them over plain IMO unless you are wanting to go extremely long distances or racing and you lose the more walkable element of recessed spd's and spd-sl plastic cleats need replacing more often than metal spds; at the end of the day its your choice/ your money. If you decide to follow up touring pedals shop around and get what you want single/double/dual/weight/cost, good luck and enjoy your new bike
