It is great, can't go wrong with the Louvin Brothers. Rest of that tuff looks shite though, especially that ventriloquist thing, that looks mental.

It's all first rate, there's good country stuff like Cash on the Barrelhead and murderous hillbilly lunacy like Knoxville Girl - fab!

Ira was a mean drunk and notorious wife beater - one of his wives shot him. He finally got wiped out by a drunk driver (whilst himself wanted by the police on a DUI charge)

You know how the top ten songs you pick today will almost certainly be different to some extent to the top ten you'd have picked last month, or lat year and will differ from what you'll be picking next year? Well there's an obvious way of seeing what your ACTUAl top ten is.

If you sync your MP3, your playlist will tell you how many plays each individual song has had since you put it on there. In this way, you will see what songs have stood your test of time.

Here's mine with the actual number of plays over the last 5-6 years.

1. No Lucifer. British Sea Power (66)
2. Woke up this morning. Alabama 3 (62)
3. Waving Flags. British Sea Power (50)
4. Remember Me. British Sea Power (47)
5. I'm Johnny Cash. Alabama 3 (46)
6. Extra Classic. Gregory Isaacs (42)
7. Couldn't Love you more. John Martyn (40)
8. Kennedy. Wedding Present (38)
9. Split single with Happy Lounge Labelmates. Half Man Half Biscuit (34)
10. Big Muff. John Martyn (32)

That surprised me a bit as if you do your personal top ten BEFORE you look to see what it ACTUALLY is, you may find a difference. I was certainly expecting more HMHB and the Wedding Present's 'No' and 'Brassneck' aren't there.

Heres ten of my faves but not in any order of preference...
1. Won't get fooled again The Who
2.First picture of you The Lotus Eaters (whatever happened to them?)
3.Tonight Sugarland
4.What i've done Linkin Park
5.Release me Oh Laura
6.Hurt Johnny Cash
7.10,000 miles Mary Chapin Carpenter
8.Love will tear us apart Joy Division
9.Telegraph road Dire Straits
10.What a waste Ian Dury and the Blockheads
