Can anyone recommend a company or a second hand dealer - and I don;t just mean google random names as I have been doing, fruitlessly!
There are lots of companies out there, but I'm hoping to get something British-built.

I'm looking for a tandem bike, possibly with a third wheel and platform/sidecar arrangement to carry cargo up to @150kg.

Thankyou

Ha, both made me say 'wow'. I'm always impressed when I see people really design and build things for themselves.
I can build cakes, but that's not really the same.

I'll keep looking. I had a look at some of those Bakefiets thinsg (sp?) but they are knocking on at @£3k, well out of our price range.

Ha yeah thats mine. The shopping cart bike worked at first, and then winter happened and it didnt work so well. Its all fixed up again now. As for the Tandem, by buddy Uula designed it and we spent a weekend putting it together. It rides really well - we put a differential on the steering so it turns really well, and rides basically like a normal bike. You can get 2 or 3 people on the back too.

Uula is going to run some workshops down at the bike station on how to make the Tandem bike and a range of other cargo-bikes (one is a nice Bullit style long-john). If anyone wants to sign up let me know, or talk to uula or the bike-station guys.

Oh, and if you see me riding past, flag me down and hitch a lift!

he might b a good source for things like this ,,see if you can even commission a build from him:smile:

Yeah, I've looked at eBay but only found 'project bikes' and I've not got the know-how or interest to do it myself. More than prepared for someone to build it for me though, or to buy onr ready-to-ride. I will have a look at Tandem Club UK too.
Thankyou
