My mate ended up with the front of his car completely covered in tar on a new road, nothing other than a liberal application of WD40 would clear it. WD40 is also great for removing oil stains from light coloured upholstery, especially in cars just after you remove the bike and find chain ring marks :blush:. There is a reason WD40 shouldn't be used on chains !

I use it on my motorcycle chain. Its at least as effective, if not more so than proper chain cleaner. And cheaper.
