Do any of you claim this and is it fairly straight forward to apply for?

I think it was one of the easier forms to fill out.
Think it was just a matter of P60 or payslip details and local tax office address or something.

You could use the £220 to treat your other half to something nice. Or spend it on bike stuff for yourself - if she really loves you, she will understand.

Thanks for sharing. We could benefit by around £7 per year so not really worth doing. I'm sure there are other benefits certain people could be eligible for but don't know about it.

She's already got something nice, and she's very understanding!

I was in there as soon as it started. Poor student etc
Easy to apply for iirc.

I claimed the allowance as Mrs Pete is retired and has her pension. All I needed was her to grant permission to the taxman to transfer her spare allowance to me. Very straightforward.
