Well, who's the one driving the taxi.

Did you get the taxi firm's name? Maybe your employer could point out to them that they are hardly likely to give custom to firms that abuse their employees.

Taxi drivers, by far the worst offenders on the road. They think because they drive for a living, they have more right to be there than everyone else. I've got little time for any of them. They take loads of stupid risks all the time. They shouldn't be allowed to share the bus lanes.

RL, it's Glasgow's Private Hire, they have a taxi rank outside my work, being the secc a lucrative place to be for a taxi (serving also the Crown Plaza).
There is normally a few of them stationed, but today, because it was early Sunday morning, there was none of his colleagues about, or I would have found out his name.
No doubt we will meet again, he, he, I'm not one to mince my words  maybe I will get him round to my point of view, that is I'm NOT going into that gigantic pothole on 2 my wheels, and if a client asks, I will direct him/her to a rival taxi company :becool:

I can understand your problem with the cobbled bit of the cycle path near to Central Station. It is obviously some sort of 'historic' bit (I use that term loosely), but my my, it is certainly not very bike friendly unless you have the right bik.... tyres.

To be fair though, it is only a short stretch and not like that bit as seen on a northern stretch of the TDF!

This is why you have a Licensing Office!

A quick letter explaining that you are concerned that the Taxi was being driven in an aggresive manner when it should be obvious to any driver using this route regularly that you were avoiding the potholes and that you were sworn at by the driver will normally end up with a couple of points on the driver's record.

I have cured one firm locally - at he access to our Hospital is a car park, with a separate lane and a 10 mph limit, they love to undertake in the car park lane and cut across cyclists at the roundabout.

All it took was 4 emails to the licensing office complaining about the illegal undertake and speeding to stop the practice totally.

I had an apparently paranoid taxi driver on Saturday, he thought I turned the camera on as he got behind me. Actually, I just held the camera to point it out to him as in the first few seconds I saw him I thought he was the sort of driver you want in front of you.

All Taxi driver hate cyclists because : Wait for it : You're a fare lost!!
Robbing the poor guy of a living and also a conversation piece he / she has not heard before
"ARE YOU BUSY" and "WHAT TIME ARE YOU ON TILL?"

Idiotic inconsiderate Cyclists ;)

Yebbut while they are waiting patiently behind you the meter is still running. I can't understand this rush of taxi drivers to get there, get rid of their passenger and get off the meter just so they can spend time circling round looking for a fare.
