Thanks. Although I forgot to mention that I'm also wearing black socks with little grey bits at the toes and heels, and a "Velovisionary" T shirt.

And cycling shoes.

And underwear.

Oh, I was going to say 'me too!' (to the VV tee shirt), then I remembered I'm wearing my Mexican dancing skeleton today (I'm at the VV office though). Oh dear, maybe that's inadvertantly un-PC just now. He really is Mexican, I bought it at one of the minor pyramids. He's wearing a sombrero and a big moustache.

Thank you Uncle Phil, I will be able to wander around the "new" wetlands site with excellent information, and will look out for ducklings. I did not want to wander too near the ducks, in case I disturbed them in their new home. I don't suppose frogs would be there, as they would be eaten would they. I like frogs, except the great big ugly ones.

I am wearing red shorts and a white tee shirt with an abstract bluey/jade sort of flowery pattern, (and underwear).

BTW I tried that sort of response once in Longer's "weekend" thread, but apart from BT(not fat)B it never really took off.

Fnaar also replied to the "much on?" question once by replying "A dressing gown"

Morning people, the kettles hot and there's Yorkshire Tea to be brewed or stewed for your delectation.

Lovely day here, off to the garden centre later for some plants to make hanging baskets and then just pottering about. Sounds good to me.

Evening all.

Kettle's on.

Just been out all day enjoying the awesome summer weather here in Finland and it's still light at 10pm.

Morning yourselves.

Speicher, ducks don't eat frogs. They are vegetarians (although ducklings go in for catching flies and pondskaters - probably need the protein). Herons, on the other hand, love a nice frog or toad. (Hmmm. Crunchy frog surprise!)

It can take a while for amphibians to find out about a new pond (you can try introducing some spawn from another pond, though). If there are fish, it can be difficult for amphibians to get going - lots of fish eat frog and toadspawn.

Great gig last night. We always dread these small village dos - you don't expect the audience to be very lively. But we're always wrong - we played in Great Ouseburn last weekend, and in Ellerton last night, and the inhabitants of both of what you might think sleepy villages, turned out to be very lively indeed - we had just about the whole population of Ellerton doing the Funky Conga, whose route took it out of the marquee, up and down the inflatable bouncy slide and back into the marquee.

The hog roast was good too. We had been going to take a medical mask to fit to the pig, but no-one could find one...

Anyway... having had my Tea, I had thought of popping out for a cycle, but it's turned out a bit windy. Maybe tomorrow. I'll potter instead.
