Morning yourselves.
Speicher, ducks don't eat frogs. They are vegetarians (although ducklings go in for catching flies and pondskaters - probably need the protein). Herons, on the other hand, love a nice frog or toad. (Hmmm. Crunchy frog surprise!)
It can take a while for amphibians to find out about a new pond (you can try introducing some spawn from another pond, though). If there are fish, it can be difficult for amphibians to get going - lots of fish eat frog and toadspawn.
Great gig last night. We always dread these small village dos - you don't expect the audience to be very lively. But we're always wrong - we played in Great Ouseburn last weekend, and in Ellerton last night, and the inhabitants of both of what you might think sleepy villages, turned out to be very lively indeed - we had just about the whole population of Ellerton doing the Funky Conga, whose route took it out of the marquee, up and down the inflatable bouncy slide and back into the marquee.
The hog roast was good too. We had been going to take a medical mask to fit to the pig, but no-one could find one...
Anyway... having had my Tea, I had thought of popping out for a cycle, but it's turned out a bit windy. Maybe tomorrow. I'll potter instead.
