I am recycling this morning.

Does anyone want lots of cardboard boxes, those squishy chip things wot cushion things in parcels, milk bottle tops, assorted other tops? Anything else, I am sure I could find it somewhere.

Yes, tea please?

and something to calm two pussy cats. The neighbour opposite has a large mechanical digger in his garden, making a lot of noise. The cats are on the proverbial hot tin roof. I try to ignore them, rather than making a fuss, if they think I am worried, they just get more worried.

We have no kitchen....What a friggin mess. Dust has got everywhere; all through the whole house. Keep polishing and hoovering everyday but to no avail..

It's 1 week into a 3 week job.
No sink, no washing machine... got a kettle though so thank gawd for small mercy's. Having to cook with a microwave in the conservatory..

It's been totally gutted in preparation for a new one.
All the walls needed replastering, a new ceiling was needed, (with downlighters), new flooring, rerouting all the electrics and plumbing et al

Gonna look lovely though when done. (So i've been told).

PS the bloody kitchen fitters like their tea... (our tea bags and milk the cheeky buggers)

My sympathies Ianrauk. I had the same when the kitchen was redone. Two  layers of tiles to be removed, redo electrics etc. Yes, the dust gets everywhere, and it is such fine dust that it takes a long time to settle.

When I had my kitchen fitted recently the plumber was dropping heavy hints about having a cuppa. I went to make him one but the electricians had switched off the electric:biggrin:.

Buy a box of economy costcutter teabags, and skimmed milk, they'll soon bring their own...

Well, I'm back, almost, just have to ride home from the department. Yes, after 55 miles today, I came in to get my forum fix even before a cuppa. (And I need to pick up milk, anyway). A brillant weekend, and briefly, very briefly, due to an administrative error, I was recorded as having a Gold time for the 60km route:biggrin:. Which is a bit odd, as Helen only had a Bronze time, and we started and finished together.... I've emailed them to put it right...

About 188 miles in all since Friday, 100 of that with full camping load. I'm more set on my plan of a grand tour of Europe than ever now, I just need a to compile a wish/Christmas list of additional camping kit.

Gosh. I could do with a cuppa...

First on the wish list then, a kettle! I'm very attached to my cute little camping kettle:blush:.

Oh yes. Kettle, as part of whole Trangia set. Cutlery etc. Possibly a Bikebin pannier so I always have a seat (but just the one, although I think it would clash with the single Carradice cotton duck pannier I have at home.) Some lighter less bulky sandals...

I suspect the telescopic folding 3 tier cake stand, I'll have to make myself.

Awake, I think?

Miss tdr1nka is still asleep and I'm wracking my brains to think of something we can do today that doesn't either cost sheds of money or bore her to tears.

Having the tandem is saving us a fortune in fares tho. We might just go for a long ride together later.

Sadly a lot of her friends are away on holiday and she's fed up with having no one to play with.

*Puts kettle on again.*

How are the Waffles this fine morrow?
