Wow, sounds great. I've always fancied a teeny campervan like that!

And canoeing... There's something special about travelling under your own steam from night to night, (walking or cycling), but doing so on the water seems even more.... primitive, but in a good way. (sort of Ray Mears-y)

I looked at my maps yesterday and worked out that it is about 110 miles to my Mum's, maybe a touch less, depending on the route chosen. I'm sorely tempted now to just turn up one evening....

But not until she's back and settled from Canada - she should be in the air now, I think. David is taking Oli to Heathrow to pick up her up, and My sister was talking about making a "Grandma" sign for him to hold, preferably a multi-media fingerpainting and glued on lentils type.

No but he hung out of his cab window, while still driving, shouting summink 'earthy' and making lewd hand gestures.

With hindsight it was probably safer to leave him on the phone.

What's Vic going to do with pipecleaners?

Make amusing models of farmyard animals?

Clean some pipes?

Spend hours wrapping them round pencils to make springs... (oh, yes, I have...)

Where can you get pipe cleaners as all tobacconists have been hounded out of business and all forms of smoking are not acceptable or should be especially in the cycling world as it is hard to light a fag on a bike as you would not see the pot hole you hit in a cloud of smoke, fall off,get hurt, spend three weeks in hospital and then be forced to give it up, save loads of money and thats why there are no tobacconists and therefore no pipe cleaners.

Aaaagghh. dust, dust and more bloody dust.
Halfway through a 3 week new kitchen build....New ceiling and downlighters in, all extrics done and walls replastered, now putting in the units.
Still no sink, cooker or washing machine....

Kettle works ok though.. so tea anyone?

Craft shops/stationers/toy shops. Usually multi-coloured. Sometimes found in multi-craft packs with coloured paper, pompoms, glitter etc. Even available in different sizes.

A competition, how splendid. Guess what I'll be doing tonight....?

I haven't used one, but I guess they may have a use in cleaning the tubes of camelbaks etc... You'd have to double one up and pull it through with string.

Also handy for cleaning between the sprockets of a cassette and other fiddly bike places.

Brilliant, you can't do any work in the kitchen, but you can make tea...
