They Laydeez are currently dining on their spaghetti in the garden. Their's has a dressing of olive oil and dried mealworms. They love it!

I'll pass on the mealworms...

I'm planning carbonara tonight, but only had one small egg left, so I thought I'd ride out and collect some from my usual source. I think a 55 mile round trip to pick up some eggs marks me out as a 'proper cyclist', no?

Not quite up the standard of a Mouseketeer going out for a paper, I know, but I'm working on it.

Somehow, I managed to have headwinds both ways, and had to shelter from a few showers - the worst of which came on very suddenly as I was crossing the rather exposed Stamford Bridge viaduct.... I'm still a bit damp.

A friend just alerted me to a Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain gig, in York:tongue:.

It's on a weekend I'm already booked to be away...

I'm having a celebratory tea. I had to be a guinea pig for an aptitude test we're using on a potential new colleague tomorrow and scored in the top 4%, a quote 'impressive result' according to the occupational psychology who analysed it. I'm mightily relieved. It could have been very embarassing if I'd done badly...

Arch - I'll have to put some miles in if I'm to keep ahead of you on Cyclogs. I haven't commuted at all this week yet:blush:.

You're still 50 miles ahead of me.

Mind you, I've realised I'm about 140 miles short of my July figure, with only 11 days of the month left and my projected figure is falling short.

Thank goodness for dropping out! More time to ride....

I really should go home, I'm still damp and getting cold...

And well done on your test score!

Bah, you're probably all miles ahead of me, seeing as I've been off the bike since last Wednesday. ;)
Still, the swelling should have subsided enough for me to get my leg over some time this weekend.

And I've just finished and fired off my application form. It's a weight off my mind, I've spent every evening for the last week working on it. Now all I have to do is wait...and then poo myself when I realise that I have to:-
  • Prepare for an interview
  • See if I can squeeze into my interview suit
  • Buy a new interview suit

I bet Baggy can't wait;).

Good luck with the job application. It must be something you really want to put in that much effort.

Poor girl. She's had to go off all by herself since last week.

Not quite sure I do actually. But it's a step up from where I am at the moment and these types of job don't come up very often. Actually, I'm just being a careerist whore. I'm not massively into what I do but it's a phase that I feel that I need to go through. I want to see how far I can get before I'm exposed as a fraud. Once that finally happens I'll probably relax and go back to being a postman again having satisfied myself that I can go there and get the t-shirt if I want.

Morning. The migraine is gone. Just left with post-migraine fatigue.

Have a good time in Germany, Herr Doktor!

I think you should lie on a Chaise Longue and make the chaps wait on you for a change.

Dare I ask, how is the wasp situation? (was watching The Rat Pack about pest controllers last might, and they dealt with a couple of wasp nests).
