Tea for me please.

All is now quiet at tdr1nka towers, the rubbish has gone and my neighbour is strangely quiet. I get the feeling she really didn't believe me when I said that it was all going to the tip.;)

Just time for a cuppa before I pack my bag for the day and head out to work.

Have a lovely day, whatever you do folks.

I thought you couldn't put shredded stuff out to recycle? Maybe it's different up here, but I always thought they needed large sheets of paper for recycling.

Ah, I've just checked on that giant interwebby thing, and some do some don't. Looks like mine might, as they mix paper and cardboard together.

Tea? anybody? (just to get the thread back OT)

Nice and strong for me. And a couple of sugars. No, I'm not a builder!!

Depends what they use the paper for. If they are making paper out of it, they need nice long strands (fibres), so shredded paper is no use. If they are making cardboard packaging out of it, then they aren't in the slightest bit fussy. Even windows with envelopes are OK, IIRC.

Round my neck of the woods, they won't accept shredded paper for recycling. On the other hand, my local animal rescue place will accept it, for use as bedding for gerbils/rats etc.

Shredded paper is perfectly acceptable on our rounds, has to be in a plastic bag though, one of my pet peeves is people who just stick it in the recycle box and allow it to blow away.

If there is beef in Beef sausages, are there Vegetarians in vegetarian sausages?

I doubt it. 'cos then they would have meat in them.:becool:

Although judging by a pal of mine who is a veggi it wouldn't be very much.
