Time for tea? and a scone - just one, but its a large one if you would like to share, and some proper unsalted butter. (Steady on BJB, I know you would like a large knob of butter) xx(

I cannot do very much at the moment, but have managed to respond to and be successful in Freecycle in getting some bedding for the Homeless Shelter in Worcester. Two quilts, pillows, sheets etc. Just a shame I cannot fit the bed into the back of my car.xx( Just thought, if I take out the baby elephant

yes, they are. I suppose I feel more miffed about it than usual, because I am not feeling well, and do not have the energy to tell them to get ********. No one is offering to help, but I do not want their "help" if I have to listen to their incessant nonsense.

Why are they so sure that their opinion is Right and that everything else is Wrong. Why don't they realise that I find them and their opinions so tedious and boring, that I really do not wish to waste energy on them.xx(

Speicher, I have an uncle who is a bit like that. I'm lucky that I don't have to see or speak to him very often, because he lives in Canada. When he and my aunt came over for my Gran's funeral, (my aunt's mother - and we all reckon they only came to make sure they could get their hands on the stuff they wanted - well, maybe not my aunt, but anyway), I arrived at home fresh from a week on the road with the cycling tryout shows, and all he could think to do was moan about cyclists riding two abreast (back home in Canada, where I sort of assume it's ok, just like here, but anyway, we are talking about a little island community, not a big city...) He was so hateful I ended up in tears of frustration with him. After that I decided I just didn't really want anything to do with him. I'm forgetful about Christmas cards at the best of times, but with them, I don't even bother to try and remember....

He was probably pissed off because none of us were wowed by the big car he'd borrowed from his family to get about over here. The really annoying thing is, when he's not around my aunt is quite nice, but when he is there, she seems to become like him. Obviously there's family history there that goes deeper than a few remarks about cyclists, but that was really the final straw for me.

I dunno what my point is exactly... Have a biscuit...

Tea and biskits, excellent idea. Oat Flips, choc suggestive and discustard creams.

Chuffy, if you pop in later, can I remind you about "The Big Bang" on Channel four later - 10pm I think. ;) Make sure you are wearing the Right Trousers, or might Baggy object?

Consider me popped. I might give it a miss tonight Spikes. It's been a very long week and I really need to be in bed. I am currently wearing said trews. They, and Baggy's velour leisurewear, are collectively known as J-Lo's in our house because they make your bum look big.
*snaffles a plain suggestive and heads towards the shower*

Oh, I am terribly soapy. If only I had assistance to reach the bits that I cant. ;)

Spikes - Torquay in Spring? It's hardly Paris but it will have to do. Actually, I won't be working there after the end of next week but I'll be in Exeter if you fancy a coffee cup of tea and a bun somewhere.

Would you like to use my loofah to reach those bits, Chuffers?

I did not know you worked in Torquay. I went there last summer, to get away from the floods here for a few days, and enjoyed pootling about. Stayed at the Grand, as it is a stone's throw from the Station. It is not that grand, but it is very friendly. I enjoyed eating at that Aussie type restaurant (Pier Point). Are you changing jobs?

Hey Col, well done!

*gives celebratory hug, while surreptitiously rubbing col's arm in hope luck will rub off on me*

Did anyone check to see if Cookiemonster was still asleep by the fire?;)

Thank you kindly Arch:biggrin:
