yes, they are. I suppose I feel more miffed about it than usual, because I am not feeling well, and do not have the energy to tell them to get ********. No one is offering to help, but I do not want their "help" if I have to listen to their incessant nonsense.
Why are they so sure that their opinion is Right and that everything else is Wrong. Why don't they realise that I find them and their opinions so tedious and boring, that I really do not wish to waste energy on them.
Speicher, I have an uncle who is a bit like that. I'm lucky that I don't have to see or speak to him very often, because he lives in Canada. When he and my aunt came over for my Gran's funeral, (my aunt's mother - and we all reckon they only came to make sure they could get their hands on the stuff they wanted - well, maybe not my aunt, but anyway), I arrived at home fresh from a week on the road with the cycling tryout shows, and all he could think to do was moan about cyclists riding two abreast (back home in Canada, where I sort of assume it's ok, just like here, but anyway, we are talking about a little island community, not a big city...) He was so hateful I ended up in tears of frustration with him. After that I decided I just didn't really want anything to do with him. I'm forgetful about Christmas cards at the best of times, but with them, I don't even bother to try and remember....
He was probably pissed off because none of us were wowed by the big car he'd borrowed from his family to get about over here. The really annoying thing is, when he's not around my aunt is quite nice, but when he is there, she seems to become like him. Obviously there's family history there that goes deeper than a few remarks about cyclists, but that was really the final straw for me.
I dunno what my point is exactly... Have a biscuit...
