It may seem strage that I even have to think about it, but...

There's some urgent business paperwork to be done *Shows stack of paper work*

There's a load of items I need (Or would like) to photograph and list on E Bay over this week-end. (Free listing on items)

There's two TV wall mounts to put up.

Plus some trees need cuting down urgently. Preferably before the high winds forcast for Sunday into Monday. The branches 'dig' hols into the cycle shed roof in windy conditions.

Would you fill this insulated mug with tea, please? My Wafflycat is fettling Wafflycat Minor's time trial bike in the garage. It's a bit nippy out there and he'd appreciate the hot drink.

Morning folks. Anyone want tea and toast while I'm getting some?

After that, who's up for braving the weather out? I feel the turbo trainer beckoning this morning

Turbo for me later on... This darned Tacx i-magic is horribly addictive... I've set myself up a couple of flat courses, just for turning my legs over and once you see that graph... speed... power output... *damn* you just have to keep pushing those pedals round! As I nomrally *loathe* doing turbo work, it has come as a horrible shock to my system to find I actually quite enjoy a short burst on the i-magic...

Mornings!
Looking at railway memorabilia with a friend yesterday, I saw some magnificent tea urns from the GWR or some such. At this point, I realised that the best possible avatar was at home on my windowsill - a Russian samovar! Usually known as the FA Cup, it's perfect for making mulled wine. I've never actually used it for making tea.
So, here it is! What do you think?

That is a fine Samovar Doc! I can never see a samovar without thinking of my godmother, who once used the phrase "The geese fly high over my grandmother's samovar" as an example of a suitable spy code phrase.

I dunno, I'm away from the internet for 24 hours and all hell breaks loose! There're champagne corks embedded in the ceiling BTW.

Well done Doctor! So chuffed for you. Perhaps, if I am lucky and get an interview for the job I'm currently applying for, I should take days away from the internet, as a sort of lucky tradition...

BTW. Does anyone here think that ten past four is a stupidly early time for a teashop in York to close on a Friday afternoon? They have gone down in my list of suitable places to visit.

Good morning,
Nice urn Doc, you could keep a dear departed's ashes in it maybe;)
Arch, the cafe in the local country park shuts at 4 on a Sunday.
Its situated on the Downs link cycle path, and anybody riding home after a day in the saddle, gets their to find it shut.

Why would any cafe do that, it's mad! I'd have thought 5 was the earliest you should shut, except in winter maybe, and even then... especially in a town with shops still open.

BTW, I have some of the ashes of a dear departed. They are in a canister I made myself, with some help from a friend, contructed mainly from the casing of a sturmey archer three speed hub gear and some stock metal turned on a lathe to make a lid. It seemed suitable.

Could I have a cup of hot choc, as its a bit cold here today.
Does anyone do a mobile tea delivery here, as I am racing tomorrow and a cup of tea half way would be super.

Saw a 101 year old chap on telly last week, entering the London Marathon. He's just done a half marathon,(took 4 hours) and apparently stopped half way for a smoke and a pint.... (Time not counted in the four hours!)

I'll bung the kettle on...

Dunno what the Doctors going to be doing, but I live in hope that one day, one day, a British made probe will land on Mars, a hatch will open, a small robot vehicle will emerge, and with great ceremony and extending gadget arms, cover the nearest suitably sized rock with a knitted teacosy, into which wil be stitched a small label bearing the words "Made by Arch"...
