Good god, yes...

Well, he then goes on to diss Larkrise pretty thoroughly for being all pretty dresses, whereas I've been enjoying it (and not because of the frocks), so it's not all accord.

Lord, I just made some real world tea to warm myself up, and it got cold pretty quickly! Wish I'd worn an extra layer today.

Taking the biscuit
When I was 15 my Mum took me on a coach trip to Amsterdam.
In those days I looked like a Status Quo roadie, was used to beer but had had no real introduction to the world of smoking marijuana as I wasn't interested in smoking in general.

Upon being dropped off by the coach outside the station, a tatty and rangey long haired man approached me, put his hand on my shoulder and whispered hoarsely in my ear, 'Haaash?'. I declined polietly and he ambled off to which Mum appears asking, 'Does he know you?'.

Really, if you get the chance to have your life over again, when you reach 15 don't go to Amsterdam with my Mum!

More tea please!

My mum never took me on a coach trip to Amsterdam. Hunstanton was as wild as it got for me.

*scatters tea in all directions, except for a suspicious snoring duvet*

Apologies for changing the subject. I visited my mother last Saturday, and my niece and her boyfriend were there. They were very helpful to her, went into town to get a new remote control for her tv, and a set of talking scales. He also set up her DVD recorder correctly and the Freeview box, that she said had not been working.:smile:

We all went out to a Chinese restaurant for a buffet meal. I could not remember whether the restaurant had a lot of choice for Vegetarians, but he was very happy with the food. Even if they only visit three or four times a year, this is two other people to provide some company and for her to look forward to their visit. Just when I thought I was the only one interested in the welfare of my mother, the situation changes slightly.

Hi Speicher! *hugs*

Glad thing are getting a bit less fraught on the rellie front. Last thing you'd need at the moment, I'd have thought.
Knocking up a Chinese later, as it goes. Let me rephrase that! I'm cooking some baby corn and peppers with noodles and a bit of chilli. Should be nice.

Elsewhare on this forum are pictures of me and Waffles from yesterday. There's also some of me about to try a recumbent bike. I was terrified, and totally useless:blush:. Mad scary bike, it was.

The land where the Bong-tree grows. It is easy to search for "The owl and the pussy cat" look for a site that mentions the author Edward Lear, and you can read the full version.

Here you go. An excellent person once said this was good for sore throats. Sip that.

*gently rubs shoulders and back in therapeutic fashion*
