why can one not mention C*ff** here? can we have a C*ff** thread?

You can try, but somehow imitations have never quite got off the ground (or grounds, perhaps, with coffee)

I was wondering the other day, if we should think about adapting the Tea? thread for the stage or screen? How long would it take to recite it, each taking our part? And do we play ourselves, or get professionals in?
And how would we do those bits where LOTT just smiles? I guess he'd just walk on, smile and walk off again...

Honesty is quite prevalent in this corner of Worcestershire. Some years ago, when the tv was twenty years old, and digital tv was becoming available, I went to a local electrical store to find a new tv. The Sales man asked me what sort of tv I was looking for, and when I explained that I thought I needed a new tv for digital tv reception, he said that I did not need a new tv for that! Even square tvs can receive digital signals, and adjust the set top box accordingly. About 18 months later, I bought one raffle ticket for a local charity, only one because they were 50p each , and won the first prize - an extremely nice, and large tv.:biggrin: Of course I went back to the same shop when I needed a new fridge.

Well, it just took me about 30 mins to skim read 50 posts in the tea thread, so that's 100 posts per hour (although perfroming would be slower than skim reading) So we are looking at 4 hours or more! Pehaps not a play, perhaps a sopa opera!

Well, I'm going to slope off now, I'm going to supper with some friends tonight and need to go and find something to bring as dessert....;)

No word on that volunteer job, and interviews are supposed to be tomorrow, so that looks like a dead loss.

See y'all tomorrow at some point!

I wish you hadn't said that. Now I see Waffles as Norfolk's own Catherine Tate.
Change the avatar? Am I really bovvered?.

Nah - this one is my 'hard woman' look. I revel in my 'am i bovvered' look

Dinner this evening was delicious. Dear husband has been working incredibly hard - put in more than a full day at the business then got to fettling in't'garage to help the offspring get his new steed together, so I asked him what he wanted for dinner. "Steak" was the response. So I went out & bought some thick fillet steak. Cooked it, lightly dusted with garlic. Had it with a veritable smallholding of mixed salad. *Delicious* Oh, and a glass of 1998 Rioja to wash it down. Doubly *delicious*. I may get my reward for being a very, very good girl a bit later :biggrin:
