MIL OK - usual stroke symptoms - lack of co-ordination and speech, but hopefully that will recover with time.

I'm sipping tea and eating wheatabix.......(I'm on hols this week....)

Morning Each,

Glad to hear MIL is stable fossyant!
What a start to your Hols, eh!

Just off out on two wheels in the rain, blurghle.
It started raining the moment I put my shoes on, there's a greater power at work and not just Wafflycat's libido!

You seem to be a very frisky moggy, what exactly do you "spice" your tea with? ;)

*yawn*

Morning all!

Mr Wafflycat had a suitably enjoyable birthday. Went for a family meal out after picking up Wafflycat Jnr from university. Just went to a noodle bar, but the food was tasty & the company good. Afterwards we dropped Wafflycat Jnr back at his hall of residence. Mr Wafflycat & I came back home where he enjoyed the remainder of his birthday

Mind you, I have woken up this morning with a rotten headache and it's not due to alcohol consumption of last night. So I am requiring of tea and sitting in a quiet corner for a while.

Glad MIL is stable. She'll need a lot of TLC and understanding as she recovers as the recovery period can be incredibly frustrating for the person who has had the stroke. So I wish you all much mutual support.

Does that work the other way around, 'cause it would explain my hillclimbing.

Anyway Waffly, you'll be MIL someday I expect. How does that make you feel ;)

Fingers crossed Fossyant, that all works out OK.

It also explains my hillclimbing.

Oh I've warned Wafflycat Jnr not to have anything to do with women until he's at least 30. Told him what terrible creatures women are - and I should know!

Oh, I'd argue that advice, Waffles.
Don't have anything to do with women till they're over 30.

Works for me.

Now, have some tea, and come over here with me and we'll have a quiet sit down. I'll rub your neck gently, shall I? That helps me when I've got a headache.
*strokes Waffleys neck in affectionate manner*

Ooh, ta.

I am slowly unwinding as Mr Wafflycat did the decent thing this morning. He has kept me plied with *tea* and lots of it.

Right, I'm off to the office for the afternoon, hope to catch you all later for a midafternoon cuppa or two.

Now, is it raining enough to warrant putting the Rainlegs on?

I am going for a pootle/tootle around Broadway this afternoon. To make the most of my car  miles, I shall be dropping off some recycling on The Way, picking up some hinges and stuff from Somewhere Else, and popping into Whatsits on My Way Back. The villages round here have some funny names! Not sure if I need to visit Wyre Piddle while I am out.
