Watching the comic strip 5 go mad on mescaline rather amusing.

The Comic Strip certainly had their moments!
The Bad News Tour is my fave although it was rather eclipsed by 'This Is Spinal Tap' at the time.

Will someone please tell me how 'far' one spins for?
Tea?

And you! :biggrin:
Not feeling achy this morning, to my considerable surprise. I may go out on the first club run of the year this evening - a 20 mile ride taking in a local hostelry;)

Not normally done in terms of distance, but time.
My class last night lasted an hour, but the beginners class lasts 30 mins.
It's just an exercise in applied masochism really...

Ta v. much!

So these clicks, are they similar to parsecs?:smile:

I'm getting into training for Saturday by cycling while towing a wheelie bin!

We're supposed to be training? I've been training by eating cake and repeating "aw, look at the heffalump..."

I gather the point of spinning is that you don't go anywhere... I think if someone instructed me to do the equivalent of go up a steeper and steeper hill, without the promise of a damn fine cafe at the top, I'd run out too. Of the building...:biggrin: Still, well done Doc. Does this mean you'll be leaving us behind in the Hertforshire Alps?

These are important aspects of training too!

Well, my objective is more to get up Mont Ventoux with the minimum possible amount of pain and unhappiness. Which is still going to be 'lots and lots', lets face it...
If I end up with a more shapely and less expansive physique then so much the better!:smile:

I perhaps should have warned you, but getting out of Stevenage does involve something of a hill. Not huge, but maybe huge compared to anything in York, which, as far as I can make out, appears to be a flood plain.

oh dear! I'm afraid, like a ball bearing in a bowl, I'll probably just roll back to the bottom...:biggrin:

I CAN do hills, you know, I'm just not used to them. Just don't expect me to speak on the way up. In fact, enjoy it, it might be the only respite you get from listening to me prattle on all day...:smile:

BTW, I was talking to my sister yesterday and said I was meeting a couple of chaps from the forum for a day out and she came over quite motherly and asked how well I knew you both. She pointed out, that in a neat twist of the usual deception, you might both turn out to really be 13 year old girls....:smile:

Big news is, Oli is now crawling, commando style on his belly. With determination and usually towards the fireplace, or the DVD player, or anything remotely dangerous...:biggrin:

@Landers
Mornings! All is good, and I've just made a brew *tea => Landslide*

@Arch
Well, for all Tdr1nka and I know you could be a 13 year old girl. That would be genuinely scary.:smile: Anyway, Waffles can confirm I'm not 13 or female. This may not reassure your rellies, mind...:biggrin:

And it's not so big a hill - takes 5 mins to go up if that. You need to go up it to get to the cafe...:smile:

Crawling towards dangerous things? Sounds like Oli's ready for his first adventure into the big wide world of injuries. Get him a cordless drill or something.
