How much longer are you in Ireland, Tdr1nka. This usually a very quiet street. Two doors down there is some sort of giant vacuum cleaner in action and three doors up, someone is using a chain saw or sumfink.

Leo, the cat is beside himself with fright and looks like he needs a holiday.
I am sure Meep and Tuesday would like a new fiend. We could get a
pea green boat flight from Birmingham this afternoon.

Morning all.

Quick pop in and then I'm orf again.

Mr Wafflycat is in plaster (well his left leg is). He discovered that strutting his funky stuff to loud music around the living room floor on a Sunday morning is not a good idea hat his age. Snapped achilles tendon. Well he was listening to Elton John. Just desserts some would say.

I just point and smirk.

oh dear! But yes, Elton John, very risky...

Best regards to Mr Waffles, and hope he mends quickly...

Dear me, it's taken a while to get here this morning, er afternoon, lots of emailing to catch up with and I had a latish start anyway.

Any Tea? on the go? I had salami in my lunchtime roll, and it's made me thirsty.

I started knitting a monkey at the weekend, it is for Oli, who will be 1 in six weeks. And turning out to be a right little ladies' man already. My sis is bringing him up for Mum's graduation next week and all the ladies in her class want to meet him. I think a monkey is a suitable companion for a small boy, they can cause havoc together and it wil always be monkey's fault, because he is a cheeky monkey... Or he will be when he's done...

Evenings!
It's a bit quiet in here these days. Must be the decent weather, the new job, a visit to Ireland and all the rest of it...

And sorry to hear about Mr Waffles getting plastered, as it were. That's a bit harsh, even for listening to Elton John...

Best wishes and an entirely appropriate virtual hug.

I'm off out, panto rehersals tonight.

Just going 'Humph! ' at the mo because someone I quite liked, and was recommended to me by a mutual friend, turned me down for being too old (I'm 41, she is 35). I've been saying to friends for ages that younger is not the way to go for me. Not one woman under 40 and single has shown an interest . Back to the toyboy route I guess.xx(

Not sure I'd use that word while Waffles is within earshot. She'd eat you alive (if you were very fortunate!)

yes, thank you Tea please

I might have tried making biskits or scones tomorrow , but as the weather forecast is for "Summer" tomorrow, everything might be put on hold except for the establishment of the sunbed and drinks table on the patio.:biggrin: I do not wish to miss the one day of summer . Perhaps we can use LOTP's swimming pool tomorrow .

My back is getting a lot betterer now, only occassional pain in the hip.
Leo the cat is not pleased about this as he does not really like being picked up, and until very recently I have not been able to bend and pick him up. However, he needs to be used to being handled in case he needs to go to the vet or the cattery. ssshhhhh.

Thank you Longers. It has also taken a long long time to get over the side-effects (horrendous and frightening) of the pain-killers I was given.
I have had to cancel the holidays that I was planning, but now I am just enjoying a return to "normal" and hopefully we will get some good weather in the next few months.

The physio therapist has made a big difference, but if I was waiting on the NHS for physio, that could be a long time. My Premium Bond (a modest one) came up just at the right time to pay for most of the physiotherapy.

One of the holidays was in the Lake District, and they will hold the deposit until the end of October, if I am well enough to travel by then. Which I very much hope to be, not so much the travelling, but it is horrible to be away from home if you are feeling very grotty and in pain.

Speicher - just seen the picture on of you and the chopper. I assume (tentatively) that you're the one in the white top?

And yes - a good physio makes all the difference, I followed the exercises my one gave me after I dislocated my shoulder and it's as good as it ever was now. Hope you're better for the Lake District - it was a shame you weren't up to coming along to Nottingham. Mind you, you'd have drowned or blown away, so you didn't miss much...
