I might be looking for something a bit stronger than Tea tonight.:biggrin:

By 5pm the Decorator should have finished.:biggrin:
He is a very nice man, very good at decorating and very helpful, but I have had enough of workmen in the house.:biggrin:

No, 'twas the Rising Sun in Fulwood. Unfortunately we got there too late for the BBQ, and in a cruel reversal of fortune ended up providing dinner for the local midges!

Ah yes it's an abbeydale pub isn't it. Did not hear anything about that , a pity it's just a few miles away.

one of the best beer festivals I've been to was the Leicester one. Held in a Sikh(or Hindu?) community centre. 122 beers and in the corner a little kitchen where 3 chaps turned out a constant supply of curry, rice and naan for about £3. Beer, beer, beer, fancy some curry, get curry, ready for more beer, and repeat ad infinitum (or ad nauseum!)

I am quite miffed. I am aware of some of the bigger festivals but I'm not really aware of the smaller ones. Gutted, sounded like a right lark. Ah well. Hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks dayvo. I know about the big ones. I was thinking of going to the derby one but thinking about one in aug/sep. Nothing my way for a considerable time.

One that's worth a visit is at Elton, just south of Bakewell. They don't advertise it much (I think they want it to grow slowly via word of mouth). Has taken place on the village cricket ground for the past 3 or 4 years I think, seems to be every August bank holiday. There's free camping put on by a local farmer too.
