Night Train

Maker of Things
I may be driving into Norfolk in the next few weeks to pick up my god daughter unless we can sort out getting her a bit closer by family relay.

I have a fresh pot of tea on the table before I see my accountant and pay my taxes.

Mornings!
Lovely day here, but sadly I'm in work. Had a lovely but rather warm bunch of rides over the weekend, including to the source of the Cam.
That hand sounds a bit 'Yech!', Waffles. Antibiotics required?
Tea?

Hi all! Just a quick visit, I'm hopefully off to see the Laptop Doctor this morning to retrieve some data before he performs a full body purge (of the laptop) with a view to working out why the bloody heck it ain't working...

Hand sounds nasty Waffles, perhaps you didn't dose it well enough with alcohol from inside so to speak? I'm interested about the shrews - I thought they tasted nasty, which is why cats tend to kill them but not eat them. Perhaps chickens have a different sense of taste?

With regard to a tea meet up - I have been thinking about it a bit, and the best solution would be to find somewhere that everyone can get to fairly easily. London of course tends to be the first choice om those grounds, since all the trains go there. But I'm wondering if Birmingham or somewhere like that might also be accessible? I think, like Speicher says, autumn would be good, once holidays and stuff are out of the way....

Morning all.

Just got back from the quack's place. Had a tetanus jab & I've got a week's supply of antibiotics. So I should cease festering pretty quickly. Tea, I am in need of a bucket of tea, please.

A Tea? meet would be fantastic, just a question of where?
I rather like the idea of going somewhere and taking all our own tea making equipment, cake etc. a mobile cafe stop so to speak.xx(

I am sorry that I overlooked people without easy access to London. It was not deliberate, blame it on the time of night I wrote the post.

Birmingham would be better for me.

I think maybe most people have relatively 'easy' access to London - it is, after all, the centre of the Universe (innit?) - just that some would have a much longer trip than others and the cost of train tickets can be prohibitive.

The other thing, of course, is venue. There'll need to be limitless access to tea and cake and space to lounge about. And here's a radical idea to throw in - will we want to have a little pootle on our bikes together to earn our tea?xx( (although add getting your bike along into the mix and it becomes a bit more of an expedition...)

I like Tdr1nka's idea of a moveable tea drinking feast. A picnic would be ideal, IF we could rely on the weather. We need a scout hut to use "if wet".

Buckets of tea all round!

Poor Waffles. I hope you are playing it for sympathy, especially with the cat. Here, have a big iced bun with your tea.

Talking of cats, you'll have seen this?:

Just be thankful your Francis hasn't gone that far yet... (the other two films, Let Me In and TV Dinner, are worth a look too)

Only if everyone comes to Ireland!xx(
Everyone being most welcome of course!

Alas, I think Ireland is probably about as far as we could get from Waffles' place...

I'd invite everyone round to my flat, but it would get terribly crowded with more than 4 people. I've got lots of mugs though, and a dribbly teapot....

The exact same goes for Tdr1nka Towers as TheDoctor can vouch, although I would be interested to see just how many bikes I can fit in the flat!xx(
