I found this for Arch and The Doctor in Ebay. It has two seats and is elephant coloured so we just need to sort out a quick collection before the bidding ends.

I am a bit concerned about the postage costs. It says to contact the seller for details of postage. What size is the biggest sheet of brown paper that could be purchased. Then there is wrapping paper, 92 rolls of extra wide sellotape, and a very large bow.

Ta! I'm drawing up a list of people to visit, just need to work out my range on the folder and get used to finding my way about (I'm a great believer in the AtoZ).

Too bad I'm not in Stockholm (my 'normal' place of residence) at present! Otherwise you could have stayed with me. Stevie Wonder probably isn't as obliging! :becool:

I think it would need to go in a box if it is gift wrapped or they will know what it is.:becool:

Roughly 10' tall and a top speed, on the flat, of about 4-5 mph powered by two fork lift motors, she also has a full PA inside the body.

I digress.

Mr. & Mrs. Uncle Phil finally broke the clutches of the Shedravan today when the spare wheel showed up and they were able to continue without having to replace any more broken spokes.

It was a pleasure to meet them, and we've had a couple of very nice evenings in their company. Today I rode Uncle Phil's Dawes into the village and was spotted by a friend from my 'manic(?)grin' as I flew past them down the hill.:becool:

Hi Waffles! Dare I ask how much longer MrW will be plastered?
Have a cuppa...

He's not due to see the consultant until 2-something-or-other of September. Until then he'll be in plaster. It'll effectively be about three months in total

I am reading a book called 'Sod Abroad' by Michael Moran and there is a chapter all about how you can't get a decent cup of tea elsewhere in the world. Here is a taster (no pun intended)...

The essential point about tea is that no matter what so-called ‘historians’ will tell you it’s a British drink. Ask an American to make you a cup of tea and even after you have negotiated your way through a bewildering choice of ‘erb tinctures and described the kind of drink you would like you will be presented with a greyish liquid capped with a thin slick of scum and, as if that were not bad enough, the tea-bag will be cohabiting with the milk in an entirely unnatural fashion. Every British schoolchild knows that the bag shall not lie down with the milk – yea, even in the tea of old ladies it is an abomination.

Tea please, sir!

Could I have a scone, please? Do you have a little union jack on a stick to put on it?

Mmmm, on a cake theme, I have a recipe out of the local free trade magazine thingy, for Mocha cup cakes, with mocha buttercream icing. I must get myself a bun tin and some little paper cases....
