Cheers for the Tea peeps. I still am angry but more scared than anything. Not for my safety but of what will happen if I loose it and fight back. I know what I am capable off and it is a lot!!!!!!

Are you all OK now? Not much I can do from here obviously, but sensible people on here might be able to suggest something. Hot strong tea is ready.

Perhaps you need more tea, and to try and relax. Easy for me to say.

Fighting back could get you into a lot of trouble. I hope the situation calms down a bit very soon. I'm off to roast some chicken and put a fruit pie in the oven. Got some ice cream to go with that.

Am even more angry now. The plod that turned up, couldn't have been less interested and basically tried to blame my mobile phone for a lack of response.!!! What if I had been assaulted and was unable to answer the phone? What plod doesn't know is I recorded the conversation on my PC.

No South Wales. Nothing serious jut the usual bodily harm and death threat from 3 thugs.

Sounds about par for plod. When living in Cambridgeshire, I was threatened by a bloke carrying a hammer. He raised the hammer to hit me. I managed to avoid - got indoors and phoned plod. Plod *eventually* came out but did nothing. Apparently because the guy hadn't actually hit me, but only tried to, there was nothing they could do... apparently. Needless to say I was not impressed.

Yep, whereas if you had smacked him you would get done for assault. This world is Fugazi.

Anyone for a brew? Done the housework and the w/e can now officially start

Sounds rough Angelfish, hope you can keep your sanity, patience and dignity through this.

I took your recommendation on the Gore liner gloves, very good. Wore them on the commute at 6.30 this morning and they were toasty
I've recommended them to a friend and he's got himself some on order.

Thanks

Longers - Sanity (I've never been accused of being sane :o)

It gets worse. The root cause of this problem was the inability of a 999 operator to write down a mobile number!!!! Still I have kicked up enough of a fuss to get some more senior people interested, so it looks like action will be taken finally.

Glad you like the gloves, just watch out for the cuffs - mine have started to part company with the actual glove hand. (not a big deal as I can sew but still)

Longers, you must have a very clean and very tidy house, do you spend each Saturday on housework? If you feel like a change you could visit my house and do my housework, if you like. I would make you steamed treacle pudding or pancakes.

Morning all! Tea's made! Nice & hot & strong.

The hens have had their first walk in *proper* snow this morning, as there's a dusting of about a centimetre on the ground. Hasn't fazed them one bit. They are, however, back in their snow-free, covered run having their breakfast of Wafflycat's patent henfood mix, wolfing down their mix of various seeds, porridge oats, layers' pellets, crushed eggshell, all mixed in hot water, so they have a sort of warm porridge for poultry. They love it.

Good morning Wafflycat. That tea is going down a treat. Are you out of the Bio Hazard Suit now?

The hens are better fed than me this morning ;)

No snow in South Wales yet but a 'delightfully' cold, sludgy rain and lots of grey clouds. (of and now an Arctic wind as well!!!) I was tempted to go for a long ride today but I think I might pass as the roads do not look cycle friendly  Oh well, looks like it will be a lazy Sunday for me.
