Evening all!

Drafty cleats eh? If it's the slots in the sole, remove the insoles, put a strip of gaffer tape over the slots from the inside of the shoe, replace the insoles and hey presto - no underfoot draftiness. If it's mesh uppers letting the wind in, then the gaffer tape trick still works but doesn't turn out so aesthetically pleasing...

LOL!

Was going to try the 'piece of inner tube rubber' under the insole trick, but I'm v. tempted by the sealskin waterproof socks:wacko:.

tdr1nka - Aldi never have my size in stock sadly. I think my LBS will do me a deal though as he has had a pair of size 12's in stock for some time he can't shift. Time will tell.

..............Hang on so are you saying your socks are going to cost more than your shoes??????

But strangely my lust is reserved only for their socks?
I'm goin to try wearing my overshoes just to cut out the draft too.

BTW AFS, my SPD shoes were Aldi specials @ £17! ;)

Are overshoes the things they wore at the olympics? I ask because on some of the evening rides I've done recently about 10pm when it's been iced over and you can hear crinkle sprinkle as you ride along my feet have started to get cold in my SPD shoes and this is the first time this has ever happened.

Due to lack of cycling & too much driving, I'm more walrus-shaped these days... still, once I'm back on the bike it'll start shifting again.. I hope.. *please*

Evening all

*cough* *wheeze*

Another day, another chauffeuring. Had to - couldn't get out of it. So I was well-dosed up with decongestants (non-drowsy type) and armed with tissues and drank lots of fluids. I am, however, *utterly exhausted* from it today.
