Tea? (Part 1)

Time for a cup of tea.

Finished painting for the day, (doors if you would like to know) and cleaned the brushes and cleaned my hands. I need to sit down, and put my feet up.

Where is everyone? Is it something I said?

Satinwood is best - self-undercoating...

Never in all my years of P & D have I used Satinwood, and I dunno why that is?

Get knotted knotting solution and two coats of primer and undercoat. Overcoat at the week-end. Its those doors with six panels, where you have to do all the sections in a particular order, and not over paint the already painted bits. And make sure the cat does not brush up against the wet paint.

I have really grown to loath gloss paint in the last few years, it's such an arse of a job.

Satinwood paint seems to be not as tough as gloss paint. For gloss I try to use that "easy breathe" or similar paint, not so many fumes. I am not in paid employment at the moment. I could paint your doors for a negociated fee. It takes me a long time tho, as I fill in all the dents etc, and sand between coats. I like doing indoor paintwork. But lots of teas are required, it is very thirsty work. Home made cakes, are, of course, a bonus.

Once you have been shown how to do it properly, it is quite easy to do Without getting blobs of paint in the corners of the panels .
