I bet it would be bent, once she'd sat on it...

Doc - bananas!? Ugh. I mean, I'll eat them, if there's nothing else... When I was a child, seaside outing involved a packed lunch, and not-getting-out-of-the-car-to-go-on-the-beach-until-you'd-eaten-all-your-lunch,(the beach was down a cliff path, so we had to be accompanied) and lunch included a piece of fruit, and I'd only eat banana, grudgingly. So even now, I won't eat one unless I think I'll get a trip to the seaside out of it...

First time I've ever heard it called that!
*books hotel in Scarborough. Jacuzzi suite, please, and disconnect the phone. And the TV. And definitely (oh, dear god, yes) the internet connection.*

I have to say, if York is anything to go by just now, Scarborough would be arctic. It's arctic for most of the summer, as I recall.... I suppose that would encourage staying in in the warm and huddling for heat retention.

*pops back to check on Cookiemonster*

Yup, he's out for the count. That extra gin in the lemsip really does the trick...

I did the summer holiday *hollow laugh* thing in Scarborough a few times in my early teens - 13, 14 or thereabouts. We stayed in a holiday camp that looked like an army barracks left over from WW2, or possibly the Boer War. Salubrious it was not.
I cycled through Scarborough about 18 months ago - XXX was visiting a mate in Filey. The camp had vanished and been replaced by a medium size housing estate. I then headed up onto the moors:biggrin::thumbsup:. I'd sooner have been there all those years ago!

Right, I'm off. Working tomorrow, so I'll just leave this packet of biscuits here for you all and hope there's one left by the end of the day....

Night all!
