Both Ms tdr1nka & I was with our usual lids, gloves, hi-viz, reflectors and flag.
It happened on a narrow residential road with cars parked on both side for it's entire length some 700 yards or so. Basically there isn't much room for two cars to pass, let alone safely overtake a bike.
The van driver had been behind us for at most a minute when he was suddenly on our back wheel and hunting for a chance to overtake.
This left me no room for breaking even if I had a chance or anywhere to pull in. I waved him back and he revved his engine, by this time Ms tdr1nka was terrified and screaming.
I took out my phone and went to take a picture of his number plate, from the position of my wing mirror which he took that as the signal to barge past, accelerating and forcing me to run into the front wing of a parked car, where I lost balance and Ms tdr1nka and I ended up in the road. Going to the aid of Ms tdr1nka I lost the chance to get his reg and I hadn't managed to get a picture.
This was a just bloody minded bully of a driver thinking he'd found a rat run, he would probably mock the concepts of common courtesy and patience.
He saw us OK but we were just an irritant or obsticle to be hurdled no matter what.
