I'm sure I heard someone say, "Tea-up"

Yes, it's terribly quiet, isn't it? I blame TheDoctor for going away.

I spent a nice couple of hours on the allotment on Saturday, did a bit of digging over, some pruning of brambles and pond plants and planted out some cotoneaster seedlings my Mum brought up a couple of years ago and which had survived neglected in small pots.

I also watched some great tits.

There was a gang of about 5 of them, flitting from tree to tree, chirping at each other. Lovely they were, all in their fresh spring plumage, looking very smart.

Then I went to my friends' house to deliver a 'congratulations on your engagement' card, and a knitted gnome, and they supplied me with a cup of tea so big I could have swum in it!

TY mr Mag00,

We've run out of milk here at the towers, green tea will make a pleasant diversion from the norm.

BTW has anyone seen Norm recently?

*boggles at cup of tea so big one could swim in it!
Imagines tea? posters doing a synchronised display a la Esther Williams*

I may exaggerate slightly. But it was huge, I had to use two hands to lift it! Capacity of two mugs, I reckon.

But I like the synchronised swimming idea!

I wish I had thought to take a photo of the teacups at the Tea shop in Upton on Severn. They were at least 10 inches across. I will enquire about the teapot from the same set. (if I go there again).

I am going swimming this afternoon, but not in a tea cup.

Can someone wave a magic wand this afternoon. I have tried to contact seven people today about various things to do with getting the renovations of this house finished. Please wave a magic wand so that they all return their call (I left messages) either today or tomorrow.
That would be wonderful. Then you can wave a magic wand so that they turn up when they say they will. even if it is just to say yes they can do the job and it will cost x pounds and they can do it in May.

Back now from swimming. Tonights dinner is in the oven, braised steak etc. So it is time for a cup of tea. I was swimming for half an hour this time, a few weeks ago, I could not do that much, so I must be improving.
Only one person has returned their call! one down, six to go.
I would do the work myself, but one job is to prune a very large, very tall tree, and the other one is to fix a staircase. Neither are jobs for "beginners" etc.

If you were clever, you could fell the tree into place and walk up the trunk instead of stairs? It would have to be an external staircase, I guess...
