Much better, thank you. Just some residual stuffiness of the sinuses.

*sips tea*

OOOH, that's a good cup of tea. Just what is needed.

*retrieves large bag of various baked goods from shopping bag*

There's some eats here for those that want. croissants, pain au chocolat, danish pastries...

Thank you so much, Danish Pastries. Yum, and tea of course.

I do not wish to be unkind, but there is a funny sort of smell in here, something reminds me of ......................... oh yes, those c*ff** shops in Amsterdam. Funny that there is no c*ff** allowed in here yet it smells the same.:biggrin:

Gosh, someone's had a party since I went home last night. You are right Speicher, there is a sort of aroma. Not anything I recognise myself.

I saw Mills on the telly this morning. Moaning that her little'un will only get £35,000 a year and won't get to travel A class (whatever that is) like her dad. The kid is how old? Four or something? Perhaps Ms Mills would like to watch a few clips from Sports Relief, the bits with the kids scrounging for rubbish to sell in order to eat. I don't generally begrudge wealthy people like Macca their money, generally they've earnt it somehow, even if it's just by being clever with business and accountants, but to complain about a kid having ONLY £35,000 A YEAR....

*deep breath*

Sorry, did I rant there? Life is a bit topsy turvey at the moment, and just one weeksworth of that £35,000 would take the edge off some of my worries - not to mention how many kids could live off it in some parts of the world...

Anyway. Tea anyone?

Arch, I wish you success with your application for the Volunteer Co-ordinator at the Environment Centre and Nature reserve. When I was still well enough, I was a volunteer at a similar centre, and hope to go back there sometime. Standing or sitting for any length of time precludes me from doing it yet. Certainly where I was the targets were first and foremost "customer" service. Being helpful to people looking at environmental issues, such as recycling and saving resources, as well as the complicated stuff such as photo-voltaic energy and waste heat source ground pumps etc, (and of-course the bicycle powered radios) and pointing people in the direction of further help if I could not help them myself.

The most difficult bit of the job is resisting the Tyrrells crisps and other fair trade etc goodies such as choccie bars etc in the cafe. (Stranger than fiction ). Good luck.

They are also having a Cycle Festival in July. This is organised by someone else, but not Cycle Magic I think.

Time for tea now.

Yes please to tea!
You rant away there Arch, best to get it all out.
Ms. Mills is on a completely different planet of her own construction and not worthy of any attention, or that much money, in my book. Silly lady that she is.

milo, London is bright but overcast at the mo. and still a bit chilly at around 35 - 40f.
Thurs & Fri look like they might be rainy and it's supposed to hail on Sat?!?

Can't promise any sunshine, Sunshine;)

Thank you, but I'm not feeling hopeful now. Interviews are apparently on Thursday (closing date was last Thursday), and I haven't heard anything - doesn't seem good. An insider told me there were 25 applicants which she thought wasn't many, but it's possible the other 24 had more relevant experience than me I suppose.

Life's all a bit up in the air at the moment for various reasons, some better than others. Tea is the one constant in it!
