Morning all!
@ Renard - well, I thought it was pretty good, actually. CT was a little brash, but a lot better that she was in the Christmas 2006 one, and I think she'll be fine. Not sure about the gooey fatty aliens, but I suppose we won't be seeing them again. But...wasn't that Rose at the end? How did she get there? If she can come back from the parallel universe, then what's to stop things coming back from the Void between universes? Because we know what's been left there, and they're not going to be happy...
I predict some kick-ass battle scenes later in the series.

What did you think?

Gosh, I'm getting later and later making it in here on a Monday morning - after catching up with emails, there so much Tea? to catch up with... I refuse to be drawn into trying to explain Tea? to bonj.

BTW, I heard a survey on internet use and partners this morning on Today and the reporter said 97% surveyed said they would be unhappy about their partner falling in love with someone else over the internet. Which, as the presenter remarked, leads you to wonder about the other 3%...?

Still not sure about Catherine Tate. I hope she mellows. I saw her and DT on Jonathan Ross on Friday and didn't like the way she monopolised the conversation, but assumd in script terms it would be more equal - although I think she was still a little overbearing - but I guess she's a 'new' character, so they have to give her a fair bit to say to establish character etc.. We'll see. As for Rose and the you-know-whats, well, they were always gonna find a way back, somehow... Some of the trailers I saw suggested the Martha will reappear too, that's going to lead to some frosty girl moments in the Tardis if they are all together at any point...

And the whole olympic torch thing, is mad! I thought the point was, it was kindled at Olympia (the greek place, not the Exhibition hall) and went to the venue for the opening ceremony. But it seems it was kindled, flew to China, lit a sort of pre-cauldron, then has gone off round the world and will go back for the opening ceremony. Seems like a colossal waste of time and money. And I saw a clip of them kindling a torch from that Davy lamp thing they carry it in, and a swear I saw a bloke holding a lighter between the torch and the lamp. Why don't they just run round with a lighter, for god's sake. Also noticed, the cops started off on bikes, but after they'd had to chuck the bikes down to jump on people a few times, they gave up and jogged....

And miloat, I hope your face is ok. When we were little Mum used to put zinc and castor oil lotion on cuts and burns and things....

Now, I think, I'm up to date. Can I have a cuppa? Although it's nearly lunchtime already!

I don't know why we bother sometimes. Bless him - he'd be fine if he'd just listen sometimes...

Maybe they'd be pleased to get rid? Which makes me surprised it's as low as 3%, TBH.

*Passes tea in Archs' general direction, nips off to prepare lunch*

Can I offer you a roll?

In his post no 6023, (his response to my post no 6020), did Bonj shoot himself in the foot or not?:sad:

If you have time to look back at that one, a few pages ago,(halfway down page 603) I would be interested to know. I quite understand if it is too boring for you to bother.

Hi there Speicher! *huggle*

Well, I'm buggered if I know, TBH. I think Bonj has ...issues with the concept of a thread purporting to offer Tea, but which actually just offers a place for random natter and the sort of thing you probably wouldn't bother to start a thread on. I mean, we'd have a forum consisting of threads entitled 'Waffles fancies a quick flirt while the kettle's on' or 'TheDoctor is a bit bored at work' and so on.
