Tea would be lovely, thanks.
I'd better stick with that avatar, then, hadn't I?
Oh well, Plax will be happy there's someone with a DT avatar anyway. Having spent ages doing the DT thing for a denizen of Tea? in the past, I wasn't about to do it all over again.

*takes dram with considerable happiness*

This should enhance the afternoon! ;)

I'd think of getting a more upto date pic of Mr. Tennant now in order to outshine the pretender!

Ah, don't worry about it mate, they weren't to know.
We'd best stop swapping the dirty PMs though, don't want them getting into the wrong hands or everyone finding out about them!

Oops.

Bugger. I can't think of one.
Actually, I'm kind of flattered. Don't tell her, but I was always faintly envious of Arch back on C+ when baby elephant sig lines broke out like a rash. For about a month everyone had one, the feeble minded, no-imagination bandwagoning lot.

Yes, I did too.

I've come in here to escape the stupid female stereotype thread, before I really lose my temper.

Is it really so bad to point out that tired old stereotypes aren't funny? And yet automatically, I'm labelled some sort of grumpy old hag with no sense of humour...

<and breathe>

Any tea on the go?

I must admit I looked at the thread but couldn't be bothered saying how unfunny it was.

I've no problem with the stereotyping of men, and/or men jokes... but they do need to be at least partially funny. No problem with people who find that kind of thing offensive though... each to their own.

Funny how people will quite happily laugh along with you (therefore acknowledging that you do indeed have a sense of humour, but as soon as you pull 'em up on summat you immediately become ol' stoneface...

Maybe the best thing to do is ignore the bad ones. My major objection to that whole thing was that it was a lazy stereotype, and it wasn't even funny...
Whereas the YMCA one was. I really LOL'd.

Errr.... okay.... is it safe to look back yet?

Right.

I agree about the YMCA pic, made me fair snigger, it did... can't believe I've never seen it before now!

Just been back to the stereotype thread too.... sorry Arch for my joke about PMT a few posts back, looks like others were suggesting similar... but not joking.

*relinquishes grip*
