*takes tea with thanks*

The answer to will I have eggs tomorrow is "I might"

With ex-batts straight from the factory farm, they are 'egged-out' from a commercial POV, but still have many an egg left to lay over many a year with TLC and luck. As they are straight from the factory, so to speak, they can still be in laying 'mode' and I might just get an egg or two over the weekend. BUT, they then go into recovery mode and their little bods concentrate on regrowing lost feathers, putting on weight and generally getting fitter again. When that happens they are likely to stop laying whilst that's going on. Once they're back up to health, they then start laying again. The frequency & amount of laying varies from hen to hen.

So mine are viewed as pets, and with TLC & luck I may be rewarded with a supply of eggs sufficient for my needs

I'd love to give a good home to some abused chuckies, but we hardly ever eat eggs and I've got a bit of thing about birds generally. I wouldn't know what to do with a poorly hen and I'm pretty sure that I couldn't stretch one, even if it was the kindest thing to do. I really, really couldn't cope with a dead one...:biggrin:

Ooh, not pleasant. Can you get them changed?
Another trip to the docs but there may be something that doesn't do this :tired:.

Have you read through 'side effects' in the 'book of words' that came with the pain killers? Sorry if you have already done this.

I'm with Longers on getting them changed at the earliest oppertunity.

Yes, I did that when I first started taking the tablets. The leaflet mentions that amongst others they are not suitable for people with serious mental illness. Safe I thought, as I had "just" depression and anxiety, but when I started to feel unwell again, I looked up the details of the medication on one of those more detailed websites, some Hospital or other. It explained about lessening brain electro-activity transmitters, or similar. But I think that is what I have just spent five years trying to increase, and now level out. It also says, do not just stop taking the tablets suddenly as that can cause .... anxiety, depression etc etc. :tired:
I have worked out how to reduce the dose slowly. The painkillers took two weeks to take effect, presumably it takes another two weeks after stopping taking them before the effects wear off. Makes me want to use very strong swear words, FFS.

I know these things well as I have to watch for my meds 'clashing' with
any other meds. I decided to forego pain killers after breaking my hand as there wasn't a clear choice that wouldn't effect 'the balance', so's to speak.

Milky bedtime drink?

I had expected that as these were prescribed meds, and my GP knows my History that this would have been spotted. But I now know I was wrong.
I had finished taking meds December 2007. I just hope I have realised in time to stop any serious adverse effects. As you suggest, I will have a milky drink and go to bed. Good Night. :tired::tired:

*morning all*

Hope that Speicher is feeling better this morning.

*does happy dance* I have an egg! I have an egg! So I'll put the kettle on for a nice fresh pot of tea to celebrate with. Anyone wish to dip their soldiers in my yolk?

How could anyone refuse an offer like that? Thanks Wafflycat
