I have just mowed the lawn for the second time in a week. It'll need doing again at the weekend too, if it's growing at this rate! Also got a cauldron of freshly made leek & potato soup on the go for a light lunch.

I must need tea.
No, it just means you're wrong.
Anyway, I had that gag passed on to me in 1995 by a hairy six foot tall ex-army cook Scouser called Tiny who lived on a commune near Ludlow. Heh, provenance, I has it.

A quick glance through Marx's Communist Manifesto backs up your line there, Chuffers. I had a copy for years. I stole it from the school library when I was 14. Property is theft, therefore theft is property, therefore if I steal it it's mine. QED.

Legal disclaimer - I didn't really steal it. Honest, guv.

I knew a bloke who's Dad was the last person to man the galley on the Cutty Sark when it was sailed up the Thames to go into dry dock at Greenwich.

He was delighted as I was the only person who had ever called him the son of a sea cook!

No, it's an overnight bike ride, like the Dunwich Dynamo. Bristol to Exmouth, and it'll be the first overnight ride, and possibly the first century for me. And I'm doomed...
