Kettle's on. I have to say, Waffles, having your animals fed by 5am does seem a little over keen. I had to get to Stansted for 5am a week ago and it was exceedingly traumatic. It was still dark.

If I leave it until six, they are hammering on the sides of the hen house already... I get on with my neighbours and I'd like it to stay that way, so it means my hens are getting me up early!

The birds are already well into the dawn chorus by 4am in these parts.. yes, it's still dark then, but not for much longer and the dawn chorus is *loud*
