Night Train

Maker of Things
Hello all! I am going to put the kettle on and have a brew.

I am tired out, much too late last night watching X2 on tv.

I have been offered two days a week teaching, two lots of domestic joinery work, a bespoke cabinet to price up and a bar to build.

I am also going out to M's for dinner tonight.

I'd put Simon and Linf in a big box, with an alligator and a lion (a really cross one, with toothache perhaps).

There are two in particular (possibly a few more, if I were to waste more time thinking about it) who would qualify. I won't name them, but they seldom/never come here; it's not up their academic street! :wacko:xx(

I've got a lots of cherry tomatoes that are a tad soft for salad use. So I've made a fresh tomato sauce to go with some pasta. Finely diced onion, olive oil, garlic, thyme, a little red wine and all those tomatoes. Simmer gently to reduce down & concentrate all that lovely favour... Serve with pasta & decorate with shavings of fresh parmesan. Enjoy with a glass of red wine. YUM.

I was thinking, in the early hours of this morning, (don't ask why).

TheDoctor you need to improve your skills at aiming things. If you missed me with two pieces of paper from a distance of eight feet, how do you manage to get your satellites in the right place over a distance of two hundred light years, ie planet Zofrangio in the Galaxy of Ryckbutheron?

I remember calculating trajectories in A level Maths. Do you need a new computer?xx(

While I am waiting for a reply, I will go and get my take-away curry.

Hi Speicher!
I don't actually launch the satellites, and anyway a satellite goes into orbit, usually around the Earth. It's a probe that would go off to the planet Zog or what have you...
All I do is apply force to parts of the spacecraft structure and measure the amount it moves. Usually carbon fiber cylinders or big sheets of aluminium honeycomb.
