Sounds good Waffles, did you grow the pasta yourself?

Tea for me was a ginormous bowl of homemade Dhal that I was very surprised to get to the bottom of.

Alas no, the spaghetti harvest was poor this year  I made do with some bought stuff.

After eating a huge bowl of dhal, would I be correct in thinking that it would be a bad idea to strike a match in the vicinity of your rear? Dhal has that effect on me...

Deeply freudian photo that, Doc.
Don't know what you mean. It's not like there were any tunnels nearby!
I just saw it again, heading the other way. A steam train at full chat is a bit loud.
I did take a video of it - I wasn't sure if it would come out. It didn't.

Good evenings. Spent most of the evening sorting out paperwork and shredding. Took a while. Also had a good day hillwalking with my son, although we both got soaked.

Just sitting down to some tea. Anyone care to join me?

I am sure I heard a steam engine whistle twice this early afternoon on the Victoria, Manchester, to Liverpool line. I wonder how I can check?

I am home from work now and feeling better. Just enjoying a bucket of Earl Grey.

I've had Final Destination 2 on the tv as background while working and I sort of noticed that in American films where car crashes are depicted, first one or two cars crash and then all the following cars drive at full speed into the crash and no one attempts to apply the brakes.

Even when the initial event is over someone else will come along and drive at full speed into something. There was even a scene with a van that had swerved and ended up off the carriageway and in the dirt. Any real driver would have stopped but, no, the driver is full throttle, tailsliding the van, on and off the tarmac, dust and rocks everywhere until he is back on the tarmac proper before he even thinks about 'Oh, there's another pedal down there, I wonder what it does!'.

What does it say about American drivers?
