I don't have a handback. I have a day rucksack, and a sort of neck purse on a long string. (and the key is in neither, and they were all inside my luggage rucksack proper anyway, to get round the one bag only rule...)

Speicher, one day, when we both feel strong enough, I will tell you about the fault with my phone and the customer service call which left me determined never to go with Orange again...

Have a biskit! Or two.... No please, the more you have, the less will be left for me and I'm trying to diet... There seemed no point starting a diet before I went on holiday to France, especially a region specialising in cheese and ham...

It is I think.

She hated children and never wanted any of her own but her partner's daughter is expecting and she is over the moon. I can now take the mickey and call her a granny . Also she can do the grand parents perogative(sp) of getting the noisiest and most annoying toys for the grand child to take home to 'mum and dad'. Apparently 'mum to be' was an appalling child to her dad.

As it happens, I doubted if you would carry an article as mundane as a handbag. But much as I dislike the receptacle appropriate to females, I usually need one when travelling for essentials like passport, ticket, money, phone, etc.

The last handbag that I purchased is approx 5" by 5" by 2" with a long shoulder strap, and has a very discrete Winnie the Pooh logo on it about 1" square, bought in brand new condition from the local Acorns Children's Hospice charity shop for ooohhhh at least £2.00

As it goes, I am in a position to reveal that an Arch of this parish was casting an acquisitional gaze on an object I suspect of being handbag-shaped. A very small rucksack in black canvas with honey-coloured leather fastening straps. Imagine a handbag made by Carradice, and you're pretty much there.
Don't tell her I revealed this, or I am in so much trouble...

Well, I was pondering earlier on, about emus and the like. Flightless birds.
Presumably they'd actually like to fly - I mean, what sort of bird wouldn't? So, would an emu like to have a go on a trampoline?
Just imagine it - floating in the air, flapping its little wings, a happy smile all over its beak.
Wouldn't it lift your spirits to see the emus so happy?

ssshhh speaking of rucksacks, I do not like handbags, however small and compact to be behind me. Cannot tell if someone is fiddling with something they shouldn't.

When travelling (or at least when fit enough) I wear a small bag over the shoulder as it were, and then put on a rucksack if needed. I always keep an eye out, on the handbags in the Acorns shop. It is widely recognised in this county to be the Harrods of Charity shops. Jackets and coats normally well out of my price bracket appear in there, looking brand new, and spotlessly clean at a fraction of a fraction of the "new" price. With the added benefit, that if you change your mind after a few weeks/months, and do not like it, it can go back, therefore, Acorns, me, and someone else gains.
