Taking the biscuit
You'll have to tell the bike to be really quite and stay still when it can hear voices.

Finished mammalling for the night. And a lovely, clear one it is too, with owls hooting and squelching and lots of stars. Heading bedwards with a mug of Roibos now.

It'd be a big suitcase for a Galaxy. No, it's the Moulton. If I take it apart, it will fit in a suitcase.

I've just weighed it, and the suitcase I had in mind. It weighs 12.5kg. The suitcase weighs 3 kg. Hmm.

I am allowed 10kg of hand luggage, though. Maybe I can take the wheels in my hand luggage? Then the suitcase'd weigh under 15 kg, and I can argue, when they spot it on the x-ray, that it isn't a bike, it's just a suitcase full of mangled bits of bike. After all, how can it be a bike with no wheels?

These? No, these are pram wheels. Obviously. Never travel without 'em. Ossifer.

Politics and leisure. Haven't been there in months. It was a great idea for keeping Bonj out of the way - but the trick is not to go there.

Morning all.

Uncle Phil, you should be OK if you make the weight limit. It'll be security who scan the case, not Ryanrobbingbasrstewardswho'llchargeyoujusttopayforyourflightair:angry:;)!, and I can't see how security would try to charge you extra.

Hmm. That's not unlike what I called them after I found out my £45 flight was actually more like £90 by the time all the extras have been added on. £8 just to process my debit card!

I was going to fly Ryanair to here in Finland to start my Univ.

I would've had to pay them another £108 for my luggage. So, for £107 I flew BA. Bigger weight allowance, including my bike, comfy seats, I had the 3 seats in the last row of the plane to myself and some wine and good food. I stretched myself out on those 3 seats and read my book. ;)

It was money that I was going to have to fork out anyway so I might as well get a bit of comfort and I'm always reluctant to give Michael O'Leary any of my money.
