Kitteh is quietly acclimatising in the dining room. She has tried to disguise herself as a book (on top of other books in the bookcase). She has hidey holes to retreat to. She comes towards me for a bit of fuss and attention, but seems a unsure, as the cattery said she would be.

Leo is still AWOL, typical

The final name does not need to be made for another three weeks or so, when the Chip details are transferred from CPL to me. So any further suggestions are welcome. I met her kittens at the Cattery, three very small bundles of black fur, fast asleep. She could not feed them because she was too weak from being a stray. Her previous set of kittens became feral, but this time, someone from the Industrial Estate decided she and them should be rehomed. Looking at her, you would not think she was big enough to have kittens.

Not all black, no. White "bib", white "splashes" on face, white speckles on shoulders, and white socks. The most favoured suggestion at the moment is Tasha, or Jadzia closely followed by Whiskey. The first two being female characters from Star Trek.

She might have been called Spot after Data's cat in Star Trek TNG, but she is rather too elegant for that name. Leo, my older cat is completely white, but not called Snowy. Sooty? mmmm, needs lots of thought and Tea?

oh, one of those Liptons Iced sort? Never had one - I'm a bit of a stick in the mud about tea, it has to be hot and in a mug...

Bottles of Liption IceTea in either peach or mango is what got me cycling all day in very hot weater on a cycling tour holiday in France some years ago. Fully loaded tourer - cycling all day - in heat - yet I just kept going thanks to that IceTa stuff. Wonderful stuff for that.

I hope my hens are still alive in the morning, as there's a distinct possibility they could die from shock tonight. Bloody fireworks. Hens are secure in their hen house, warm dark, so I'm hoping they're okay, but there's so many fireworks being let off close-by and some of them are horribly loud. I am quite worried. The cats are okay as they are all indoors.

The very kind lady at the CPL cattery assured me that kitteh would be better off with me, and in a warm cosy house that at a cattery on 5th November.

Can you imagine what fun I am having with two cats meeting each other and fireworks banging at the same time? Leo met Tasha for the first time, while Tasha was still in her box. He decided after they had touched noses, that her biskits were much more interesting. Later on she was let out of the box, he hissed at her, and they are now ignoring each other, and oblivious:biggrin: to the fireworks. She is sat under my desk as I type this.

There must be something in the air peculiar to this street. There is a large dog next door and an even larger dog opposite. In the last year I think one of them has barked --- ooohhh at least once.
