Some of the group have signed up for gorge walking

Doesn't sound as much fun as 'gorge-eating'!

Blimey! The Laydeez have provided me with a couple of eggs this morning (one *huge). Seems like they aren't going to completely stop laying, but just be less frequent layers during the short daylight hours. Considering these hens cost me 50p each, they are pretty good. Of course, there are the costs of housing, feeding, worming, etc.

Feeling a slight groggyness this morning (Work Christmas do last night). Didn't really feel like getting up and out at 6am!

Kettle's on sittingduck. Bacon & eggs in the fridge - I'm just about to go off out.

The other thing That Laydeez provided this morning was a ton of feathers. Seems they are moulting too. Need any pillows stuffing?

That's a lot of badgers.... And are the badgers eating the toadstools (ok, I had to look that one up) or sitting under them like elves?

oooh, got any sausages?

I've got eggs, free range, I picked them up in the village I was staying in at the weekend, huge they are, they are the leftovers the supermarkets won't take. £1 a dozen!

And I could see the chickens they came from while I was feeding the horses and sheep.
