It was easy peasy to find the right site for Tower Bridge, are there any other bridges or towers ppl can go in and/or up?

*Pours tea for Tdr1nka and Speicher* Help yourself to milk :biggrin:

I use the instant (just add hot water) stuff Speicher... I rather like it! I add a brown sugar cube also :angry:

I think that's the only bridge that has structures, so to speak. The reason I went over there this morning was because I don't normally go East on weekend rides and reading Arch's thread about the London Bridges ride got me thinking that I should try to go across it @ least once!

Taking the biscuit
In the late 90's I used to commute from New Cross to Wapping and crossed Tower Bridge both ways everyday, a beautiful piece of engineering thank fug the Americans bought the wrong bridge!

BTW on the thread about Cycling Ambitions for this year, you say you think you have got four stone to lose. Looking again at your picture on the London Cycle Chat meet, it does not look to me like you need to lose that much. Are you basing it on the BMI index thingy. Which IIRC in the Health and Fitness section on this forum, varous people have doubts about its accuracy. Just a thought. I have been told to try and lose 10 per cent of my body weight, and then perhaps another ten per cent and then see how I feel/look.

Er, I would say that to reach a healthy weight I need to lose a lot more than 4 stone but it's a start :biggrin::blush:

Always screw up one eye somehow in photos, unless ones that are unstaged!

Hello everyone, I don't often come in to Tea thread, infact I think this is my first time!

I always feel intimidated by all the chummieness in here!

What has prompted my sudden and unanounced arrival today is that some one at work the other day, posed a question to me, If I had to make a choice between Tea and Beer for the rest of my life then which would it be?

I having been thinking about this a lot ever since and just can't decide!

Infact I am glad I don't have to decide in real life as I wouldn't want to make that decision.:ohmy:

What would everyone else do?

I am sorry you have been put off by the chumminess.* :biggrin::blush: Welcome to Tea?
:ohmy::biggrin:
You do not need to know what has been going on for the last umpty thousand pages, unless you want to. Lots of the things discussed in here would not warrant a thread of their own. Some things just get talked about for a page or two.

The question you have been asked recently is a good example. I think I would choose Tea, instead of beer, but could I still have whiskey and cider and white and rose wine? :biggrin:

* You will notice that we are usually polite on here, but sometimes we can be extremely rude, but in a friendy way. Nothing wrong with in your endo. :biggrin::blush::biggrin::biggrin:
