Sittingduck, I visited the Play.com site that you have mentionned. Found a DVD I would like. I noticed that you can sell things on that site if you want to. I do not want to sell anything currently, but it does not say where you go to see these items listed for sale. So how would I know if the item I would like to buy is new or second hand? I do not mind second-hand for some things, but would prefer some things to be new.

Sometimes things are listed as "available - In Stock at PlayTrade" or words to that effect. This means the stuff is being sold in an eBay style via play dot com. I usually only opt for things sold by them directly but have had 1 item via Play Trade and it was fine (brand new) I have also just ordered The Shield Season 4 box set via Play trade (as play themselves did not have it in stock). Item is Brand new and a couple of quid cheaper. Will see if it turns up okay - then all good

Normali tea is wonderful isn't it?

I'm really enjoying having the house to myself, the lodger has gone home for the holidays.

I should add that he's probably just as happy to get away from me for a few days .

A time of day I love is very early in the morning, when I'm the only one up. I can just make myself a large mug of tea and have a quiet time to myself, check emails, read a bit of news, get breakfasts ready for cats & hens.. in the quiet of early morning about 6am. Lovely.

Just been out spending lots of money in the sales

"Brief Encounter" video, 20 pence in the Charity shop

One of those pencils that you put refill leads in, - zero pence - someone threw mine away, accidentally, so they said they would replace it, but I would have to chose the replacement.

John Frieda conditioner - zero pence, used up my points on Boots card.

Two packets of Scottish short bread to celebrate New Year.

Tea and refreshment needed I think. More Normali tea?

Much refreshment will be needed tomorrow  You know when you decide to have a major tidy up ;)

you reach a stage where every room is in a muddle? and you wish you had not started the process? if you look carefully, you might see me somewhere. I have warned the cats not to sit still for too long, or they will find themselves put away in a cupboard.

You will end up with cat's Speicher (that's a 'catastrophe' BTW )
