Taking the biscuit
We have yet to see it folded, I'm still not convinced it isn't welded.

Ok, I have done it.
I've placed the order and I am just working out where I'm going to get the money from to pay for it:blush::eek:

I'm getting the 58 short large frame with headset, bb and cantilever brakes. the rest will come from the tea steed and cannibalising the Clarty Hack; flat bars with rapid fire shifters, just to get away from down shifters as soon as poss. I'll go back to drops when I upgrade the drivetrain.

Tea is very much appreciated! I'm an overexcited nervous wreck.

Magpie black.......yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm:biggrin:

It does fold, though it's a bit grumpy after a salty winter...

Order placed eh? Shweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!
Let me know if you need any bits and/or bobs for it and I'll happily rummage in the spares boxes.

Afternoon all! Any tea on the go?

I sat up until 11 last night finishing a hot water bottle cover for Mother's Day. And I've just emailed some feedback on a glove pattern to my friend with the wool stall. I feel like a professional knitter!

Not only that but last night I turned down a night in a hotel. Although it wasn't so hard a decision.

Every time knitting is mentioned, I feel like such a slacker. I really should sort myself out with a proper project...

And what's with the hotel? Boring conference? Indecent Proposal?

Actually, both... An old flame was in town for a conference and had suggested meeting for a drink - but in the end had to attend an evening session which went on later than I'd be prepared to be going out (I may have slightly exagerated how early I go to bed). We spoke on the phone and he said he'd ring if the session finished early enough (he didn't), and that if I wanted to change my mind and have a night at the hotel with him, I could just text... I didn't... Water under the bridge, and all that. Whether I'd have done the same with a couple of drinks inside me, and face to face, I don't know, but I hope I would....

What sort of knitting/project do you fancy? I have many and varied patterns.

Patterns ain't the problem, it's motivation. That and the fact that I once tried to knit a sweater, but it went wrong and I frogged it and my girlfriend doesn't really like the colours I had for it. And then there was the attempt at knitting socks...

good call arch. dignity kept.

Yeah, I thought so. I've been back there before and it wasn't right.

Landslide, I heard a story from a friend about someone who'd knitted socks for her husband all there married life, and one evening, not quite paying attention, she turned the heel twice on one sock...

If it's a lack of motivation, maybe you need smaller projects than a sweater. Hot Water Bottle covers are good. I just finished this....
