Well, one of my bikes has big thin wheels, and the other has chunckier smaller wheels. xx(

I think the chunckier wheeled bike, is the first one to sort as it is the smaller one of the two. (setting some prioriteas ;) here)

A cup of tea is in order methinks.

Lost me...xx(

Tdrinka posted a helpful hint about sizes of tyres and deleted it quickly. But by a strange quirk, I saw it. ;)

You will all have to excuse me, as I cannot spend all afternoon on here. I have a CV to re-write, and some plants to find. I only want two of a particular plant. I found on the internet someone who will sell me about 8,000 seeds, but that is a bit OTT is it not? Have you got a Verbascum Olympicum Bombicolom (sp)? by any chance. Silver foliage, up to two metres tall, silver grey foliage, and in flower from May to September?

So I need to take the pump with me to the LBS. (*mental note made)

Or do you mean the valves on the tyres?

Can we have a new Section for people too embarassed to ask questions on the Beginners' section?
How about a 'red don't knows day?' xx( - you don't need that Speicher...you need a track pump! For your Polished tank tracks tyres. So much help on here, you lot could almost start a cycling forum... ;)

Sunny out Dom. Going to get yours out? (Morecambe and Wise circa 1960:rolleyes:)

Everyone has been very helpful on this thread. I think if I started asking these questions on the Beginners thread, well, I am not sure what sort of answers I would get. ;) I often read the Beginners' thread.

I perhaps need to steel myself to ask a question on Beginners'. I have yet to post a photo of my bikes, that will wait until the weather is warmer.

I fancy a cuppa.

I just felt I had to call the police about a young lad (under 10) on a little trials bike buzzing up and down the road.

He is a local 'neighbour' and I just wanted to talk to his family about the risk their little lad was taking riding without a helmet or gloves and on and off their drive onto the public road as well as the risk to people walking along the road who can't see him shooting out the drive way. I got headed off by a 'yoof' (not a member of the family) who to all intents and purposes told me to not involve myself in other people's business and that I wouldn't be at risk from the bike if I stayed in my home and didn't wonder about sticking my nose in where it wasn't wanted (expletives and text speak removed for clarity of expression).
So I spoke to the local police about it instead as I don't want my folks or my other neighbours being injured by this lad. I don't mind him having the bike or keeping on his own land or on other private land but on the public road is just not on.
