When it comes to cakes, if it looks to big, sticky and calorific then that is the one to go for

Mornings!

I will be partaking of the early lunch then going for a walk in Broadway, possibly up to the Tower. Exertion of that magnitude will require a Tea Stop and difficult decisons about cakes.

Yes, excellent criteria. I particularly like Coffee and Walnut sponge, or lemon meringue pie (three inches tall).

Afternoons! Back from a beautiful ride. I'm pretty sure that I overtook more cars than cars overtook me! A combination of quiet roads, and roadworks on the main road out of Sheffield creating huge tailbacks which I happily sailed past!:biggrin::biggrin:
Cheese on toast topped with baked beans at Flagg Tea Rooms (another venue for the Cycle Chat Seal Of Approval), washed down with a pot of Tea?
One of those days that produces involuntary whoops of delight as you roll across the hills!

I forgot  Tea stops, stop serving Tea about 4.30pm. As I was still descending the hill at that time :biggrin::sad:. Fortunately the ice cream person was still serving, so I had strawberries and cream ice cream, and excellent it was as well.

Some bright spark put a notice on their garden wall

"We clear up after our dog, so we hope you do as well"

No, no, no, I am not going to clear up after your dog! ;)

Another one "Please be a responsible dog owner" my reply - absolutely not, I am not a dog owner.

Mornings!

Shall I get the kettle on?

Bucking the trend of the shrinking courier market, I hopped on my newly-rebuilt fixie this morning and delivered an item (that was far too big for my bag) to a very smart design agency! (Dropped off a borrowed wheel jig at my GF's work!)

It's amazing how much difference a proper warm up and cuppa tea makes to physical exertion.

I wanted to turn my trailer upside down for cleaning and painting this morning, something I have done most afternoons while welding it.
Without warming up I couldn't even lift one side of it off the ground without risk of injury.

So, after a brew, dad helped. Thanks Dad.

Any tea on the go? I need something to get me through this afternoon. I think the effect of yesterday's 50 miles and the clocks going forward are catching up with me.

I know how you feel! Still, at least my mystery illness has abated a bit. I had a nutritious dinner of leftover cake;)

Could do with tea though. Off to craft nite at my friend's house tonight, so won't get a proper dinner - might grab a sandwich in a bit.

Cracking day yesterday though - in meterological and social terms. Just needed to scrape a bit off the top of a couple of those hills. Remind me never to move to Crayke.
